Dan Paszkowski, President and Chief Executive Officer
Dan has been with the Canadian Vintners Association (CVA) since January 2006. Well-known and respected in federal circles, Dan has extensive experience in senior roles in government relations, policy and politics for 30 years. Throughout his career, Dan has led major advocacy campaigns and built alliances on key policy issues.
Asha Hingorani, Director Government and Public Affairs
Asha is the most recent addition to the CVA team, having joined us in November 2016. Asha has a background in federal politics, journalism and communications, having worked for a range of parliamentarians for over 4 years, and as former editor of Parliament Now, an online publication that covers the workings of Parliament and regulatory policy. In addition, Asha is a certified sommelier and regularly contributes to The Hill Times as a wine columnist. She holds a BA in Political Science from Carleton University and an MA in Public Ethics from Saint Paul’s University.
Elisa Ruiz, Office Manager and Executive Assistant
Elisa has been with CVA since December 2005. In this capacity, she manages CVA office and is the main point of contact between the organization, its members and external stakeholders. Prior to joining the CVA, Elisa provided research and logistical support to several non-profit organizations in the National Capital, and has several years of experience on Parliament Hill working for federal Members of Parliament.
Caroline Henderson, Special Projects Coordinator
Caroline joined the CVA in May 2016, focusing on marketing, event planning and membership liaison. She comes from a background in international trade and in advocacy, having worked as a trade commissioner and in the public affairs and marketing fields for over 3 years, giving her experience in events management, communications, public relations and media relations.
Lorraine York, Financial Manager
Lorraine has been with CVA since October 2008, managing all accounting and financial issues, including budget management, contracts, salaries and benefits, insurance and audit services. Prior to joining CVA, Lorraine provided years of accounting and financial support to numerous private sector businesses and organizations.
