Trade & Media Tasting (London, U.K.) – May 16, 2019

The High Commission of Canada to the U.K. and Global Affairs Canada are organizing tasting events in London on May 16, 2019 for Canadian producers to meet with trade, educators, and media contacts based in the U.K. market. All interested producers from across Canada are invited to participate. To register, email Emma Finn, the Canadian Trade Commissioner in London, by January 24, 2019. Canadian producers attending this tasting are eligible to apply for assistance with travel costs to cover 50% of an economy flight for one person per winery, through funding obtained by the CVA through the federal government’s Agri-Marketing Program.

Canadian Consulate Tasting (Hong Kong) – November 19,  2019

The Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Global Affairs Canada are organizing a Canadian Wine Table Top Tasting in Hong Kong on November 19, 2019 to introduce Canadian producers to Hong Kong trade, educators and media contacts in this dynamic and sophisticated wine market. The event is supported by and in collaboration with the British Columbia Wine Institute and Wine Marketing Association of Ontario but is open to all Canadian wineries who wish to participate. This is the first time for an event of this type in Hong Kong which will build upon the success of previous masterclasses and tastings held over the past several years. It will take place following Prowine China in Shanghai (November 12 to 14, 2019) and at a time when Hong Kong trade and media are not occupied with other trade shows or events. Canadian producers attending are eligible to apply for assistance with travel costs to cover 50% of an economy flight for one person per winery, through funding obtained by the CVA through the federal government’s Agri-Marketing Program.

ProWein (Dusseldorf, Germany) – March 15-17, 2020

The Canadian Vintners Association, in partnership with the BC Wine Institute, the Wine Marketing Association of Ontario and the Winery Association of Nova Scotia, organizes a pavilion for Canadian grape wineries to exhibit at ProWein in Germany each year. This provides Canadian wineries an opportunity to meet with potential buyers and agents in the E.U. market. All interested grapewine producers from across Canada are invited to participate. Exhibitors are also eligible to apply for assistance with travel costs to cover 50% of an economy flight for one person per winery, through funding obtained by the CVA through the federal government’s Agri-Marketing Program.

China Food & Drinks Fair (Chengdu, China) – March 2020

The China Food and Drinks Fair (CFDF) is one of the longest running food & beverage shows in China, and attracts over 100,000 wine importers/ buyers. The Canadian Consulate in Chongqing, China, organizes a Canadian Pavilion annually at the China Food and Drinks Fair. If you are interested in exhibiting or to register, please contact Coco Wen, the Canadian Trade Commissioner in Chongqing. Canadian exhibitors at this show are eligible to apply for assistance with travel costs to cover 50% of an economy flight for one person per winery, through funding obtained by the CVA through the federal government’s Agri-Marketing Program.
